Marketing and Communications Coordinator
Milwaukee, WI

The Alliance for Strong Families and Communities seeks a marketing and communications coordinator to join our dynamic team. This position is responsible for contributing to and assisting in the development, implementation, and execution of the Alliance’s strategic marketing plan so that the organization can achieve its business goals. He or she will support the planning and execution of a wide range of marketing and communication initiatives, including graphic design, content marketing, digital and social media, and will collaborate on policy and network mobilization communications. The marketing and communications coordinator will create images, fliers, brochures, reports, and other items using graphic design software.

EAP Counselor
Milwaukee, WI

FEI Behavioral Health, an established national Employee Assistance Program seeks a licensed therapist for this full-time position in our beautiful office in Downtown Milwaukee. This position is part of our EAP Services Center Team and reports to the manager. Applicant must be fully licensed to practice independently. The candidate hired will have at least three years of licensed practice in general mental health counseling and at least one year of EAP experience. Our EAP counselors answer incoming calls during business hours from people accessing the EAP benefit provided by their employer for such things as brief counseling, legal or financial consultation, help finding resources for child or dependent care, higher education, adoption and others.

Counselors must have excellent customer service and social skills as well as comfort with a wide range of diversity. Sound judgement and the ability to think on your feet are necessary. While rarely needed, experience assessing for mental health emergencies and coordinating care for any such need is required. Broad knowledge of substance abuse is important. General familiarity with resource options is helpful.

The Alliance for Strong Families and Communities seeks a Director, Library Services to join our dynamic team. Support the mission and goals of the Alliance through leadership, vision and management of the library, with an emphasis on gathering, curating, creating and sharing new knowledge and translating the most current ideas, information and evidence relevant to our sector into strategies and solutions that support the mission and goals of the Alliance. Plans, organizes, staffs, and directs day to day operations; supervises library staff; oversees the collection, curation, production, and delivery of knowledge and information products and services that effectively meet the needs of members, staff, and partners of the Alliance. The position will be equal parts managerial and librarian roles.

Marketing Encore Fellow
Milwaukee, WI


The Alliance for Strong Families and Communities seeks a Marketing Encore Fellow to join
our dynamic team and our network of thousands of committed social sector professionals working to positively impact local communities across the country. Through our collective work, Alliance staff and our network of members help all children, adults and families achieve their full potential.

The Alliance is looking to hire a seasoned professional (age 50+) into a grant-funded, 1,000 hours per year part-time fellow position to support the execution of various marketing and communication initiatives including email communications, content marketing and digital and social media deployment. This position will assist in message development, consult with other Alliance teams, and generate and implement creative and practical marketing communications that will help the Alliance achieve its awareness, marketing and revenue objectives.

This is a one-year, stipend position ($25,000/year), with the possibility of extending one to
two years.

Last year, the Alliance launched 10 demonstration sites within its 430-plus member network to actively leverage older adults in their workforces and direct service programs through the initiative Second Acts for Strong Communities. Second Acts aims to increase the number of paid and unpaid opportunities for adults age 50+ (“encore talent”), working to increase the capacity of social sector organizations and improve the lives of the children and families they serve.

Operations Analyst Engagement and Mobilization
Milwaukee, WI


The Alliance for Strong Families and Communities seeks an Operations Analyst Engagement and Mobilization to join our dynamic team to provide organizational and operational level support for the Network Growth and Engagement Department. This role entails coordinating the daily workflow in managing projects and administrative work supporting daily operations and Network Growth and Engagement initiatives.

The focus of the position is to build out and support the engagement of every Alliance member by getting to know their areas of competency, processes and funding sources. This information will be gathered by surveys and direct outreach. Findings will be memorialized into the Alliance CRM system and leveraged in efforts to engage members i.e., mobilize protect key public policies in support of the Alliance’s drive to achieve its intermediate and long-term outcomes.
