FEI to Present at NCS4 Conference

FEI will present at the National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security (NCS4) 2017 National Sports Safety and Security Conference, running July 11-14, 2017 in Orlando, Florida.

FEI Senior Director of Crisis Management Vivian Marinelli, along with NHL Senior Director Security Bob Pollicino, will present an engaging session, “Resilience and Preparedness,” on July 12. FEI Business Development Manager Michael Bugenhagen also will facilitate a discussion, “Essential Elements that Constitute a Good Disaster Plan,” on July 13 during a roundtable event.

FEI to Present During Active Shooter Scenario and Panel Discussion at IACLEA Annual Conference

FEI Senior Director of Crisis Management Vivian Marinelli will present as part of the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators (IACLEA) 2017 Annual Conference's opening session, “Active Shooter Simulation and Panel Discussion,” on June 23 in Milwaukee, WI.

Attendees will watch a live, active-shooter simulation conducted with host institution Marquette University Police Department, followed immediately by a debriefing panel discussion.


FEI Will Present at AALI and Region IV VPPPA Conferences in June

FEI is presenting knowledge at two upcoming conferences: The American Academic Leadership Institute (AALI) Executive Leadership Academy (June 19-21) and the Region IV Voluntary Protection Programs Participants' Association 2017 Safety and Health Excellence Conference (June 20-22).

FEI representatives will present sessions on “Presidential Communication in a Crisis” and “Civil Unrest and Employees: When Community Concerns Become Workplace Challenges” as well as facilitate the workshop “From Conflict to Creative Solutions.”


FEI Presenting at Metro Milwaukee SHRM and ASIS Seminar

On May 18, Chief Operating Officer Dan Potterton and Senior Account Manager Randy Kratz will present at a joint Metro Milwaukee Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and ASIS International seminar, “When Domestic Violence Comes to the Workplace,” at the Aurora Conference Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Their session, “The Employee Assistance Program Role,” will discuss best practices for assisting organizations at various stages of suspected or actual domestic violence.


FEI to Present at Wellness Council of WI Learning Circles

FEI is pleased to present the Wellness Council of Wisconsin Learning Circle 2017 Series throughout the month of May. Senior Account Managers Michael McCafferty and Randy Kratz will explore “Expanding Employee and Organizational Resilience Through EAP Engagement,” an engaging workshop that will help attendees understand how EAPs have changed and how they can increase utilization, gain manager support and ultimately tie EAP to the well-being of their organization.

FEI will be in Baltimore, Maryland, to present at the 2017 American Public Human Services Association (APHSA) National Health and Human Services Summit in Partnership with the Alliance, running April 30-May 3. Raquelle Solon is presenting an interactive session, “From Conflict to Creative Solutions,” on May 2, and will discuss what conflict is and whether it’s good or bad, along with when and how it can be resolved.

FEI will be in Portland, Oregon, to present at the Association of Children’s Residential Centers (ACRC) 61st Annual Conference, April 25-28. Business Solutions Engineer Raquelle Solon will present an engaging poster session, “Safety, Connections, Managing Emotions: Creating a Trauma Informed Environment,” on April 25. The session will discuss strategies to fully incorporate a trauma-informed approach to an organization’s policies, procedures and practices.


FEI to Present at SHRM-Atlanta Conference

Join FEI in Atlanta, Georgia, for the 2017 Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Atlanta HR Conference. Senior Director Terri Howard will be presenting as part of a panel discussion, “Emergency Preparedness and Response - Disaster Planning,” on March 30. The session will discuss the organizational and human resource leader’s role in addressing disasters, establishing contingencies and developing a strategic plan.


FEI Featured in Facility Safety Management Magazine

Companies need to stay current with drug testing policies and expand existing testing panels to include commonly prescribed medications (opioids), as well as illicit drugs and alcohol. By testing for prescription drug abuse, an employer is, in essence, offering employees access to help and treatment. But while establishing a drug testing policy is important, it's often a limited first step. After all, a drug test only identifies use of a drug, not how to address the addiction or prevent one from developing. That's where an employee assistance program (EAP) can help.
